Copyright & Takedown Policy

M3UPlayer.app is a media player and a set of playlist utilities that run entirely in your web browser. To be specific about what that means:

• We host no video content. No streams, recordings, or media files are stored on or served from our systems.
• We provide no channels. Every playlist is one you supply: a file from your device, or a URL you paste. The one exception is a short demo playlist we serve so the player can be tried without supplying your own: it lists two public test streams published by Apple as HLS examples in its developer documentation. It contains no channels, and those streams are served by Apple, not by us.
• Streams do not pass through our servers. Playback is a direct connection from the source you chose to your own browser. We operate no proxy, relay, or cache for stream data.
• We do not index or search for streams. There is no channel database and no discovery feature.

Because of this, we usually cannot remove a stream: it is not ours and it is not on our infrastructure. What we can do is remove any link or reference published on our own pages, and that is what a report to us can achieve.

If you own a copyright, or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf, and you believe material published on this website infringes that copyright, send a written notice to:

So we can act on it, please include all of the following:

• Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
• Identification of the work you say is infringed. If several works are covered by one notice, a representative list is fine.
• The exact URL on this website of the material you are reporting, in enough detail for us to locate it. A domain name on its own is not enough for us to act on.
• A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

We aim to review complete notices within five business days. Where a report is valid and concerns material we control, we remove or disable access to it. Where the material is not ours to remove, we will say so and explain what we did instead, for example by removing a link from our pages.

We want to be straightforward about this rather than claim more than we can do. There are no user accounts on this service: no sign-up, no login, no profiles. Playlists and settings are held in your own browser and never reach us. Users cannot post or upload anything to our pages. As a result there is no account for us to suspend and no user-submitted material for us to take down.

What we can act on is the material we ourselves publish: the text, links, and references on our own pages. We remove those when a valid report shows they point to infringing material, and we may do so at our discretion at any time.

If we ever add user accounts or allow users to submit content, we will adopt and enforce a policy of terminating access for repeat infringers, and this page will be updated before that happens.
